The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee today voted to maintain the official Bank Rate paid on commercial bank reserves at 0.5%. The Committee also voted to increase the size of its asset purchase programme, financed by the issuance of central bank reserves, by ￡75 billion to a total of ￡275 billion.

the Committee judged that it was necessary to inject further monetary stimulus into the economy. The Committee therefore voted to increase the size of its asset purchase programme, financed by the issuance of central bank reserves, by ￡75 billion to a total of ￡275 billion. The Committee also voted to maintain Bank Rate at 0.5%. The Committee expects the announced programme of asset purchases to take four months to complete. The scale of the programme will be kept under review.
これは英中銀ホームページに載っていた声明ですが、これを見る限り750億ポンド増額分の国債購入に関して4ヶ月という期間を設定しています。私が知りたい点、つまりどの期間の国債を購入するのかに関しては触れていません。
2009年3月に量的緩和策を開始した時には、「5年～25年債を購入対象」としていました。そしてその5月後に、購入対象国債を「3年以上全て」へと変更しています。
